HOW COME? collects the account information you provide at signup and your quiz activity, so we can save your progress and let you track it across devices. We never sell your data, and you can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the app.
HOW COME? is an educational app for Kerala PSC English Grammar preparation. It provides bilingual (English + Malayalam) explanations for past PSC question papers to help students prepare for government exams.
HOW COME? is an independent, unofficial app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) or the Government of Kerala. Official exam notifications, question papers, and answer keys are published by KPSC at keralapsc.gov.in.
If you use the app as a guest, we don't collect any personal information — your quiz results, bookmarks, and streak are stored only on your device.
If you create an account, we collect:

We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos, or any device identifiers beyond what's needed for basic app functionality.
Question papers, answer options, and Malayalam explanations are bundled directly in the app and loaded locally on your device — no server request is needed to view them. Account data and your saved progress are stored securely using Google Firebase (Authentication and Firestore database), operated by Google.
The app works offline for browsing content after the first visit, using a service worker to cache content on your device. An internet connection is required to sign in, sign up, or sync progress.

We do not use advertising networks or sell your data to any third party.
Your account data and quiz history are retained for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time by going to Profile → Delete Account inside the app. This immediately and permanently removes your profile, saved questions, quiz history, and streak from our servers. This action cannot be undone.
If you'd prefer not to use the in-app option, you can request deletion by emailing us (see Contact Us below) from the email address associated with your account.
HOW COME? is intended for teens and adults preparing for Kerala PSC (government job recruitment) examinations, which generally require a minimum age of 18 to apply. The app itself is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Account data is stored using Firebase's infrastructure, which encrypts data in transit and at rest. While no system can guarantee absolute security, we take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access.
If we make any changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after any changes means you accept the updated policy.
